1090 MHz Antenna

Played with a little dipole, made an eight segment coax colinear, bought this. This works the best for me using a RSPdx reciever. I'm very happy with my purchase.

This is my second purchase & it was & still is working, but I moved places and forgot to take the first one so had to purchase a second one & if needed I will buy a third time.

This antenna appears to be very well made using quality materials. Mine is mounted 5m above ground on an aluminium tube, clear of nearby obstructions. It feeds a FlightAware Pro Stick Plus ADS-B USB Receiver with Built-in Filter via 10m of LMR400 cable. I have had it in service for several weeks now and am happy with its performance. My location is not ideal, having houses and hills around me. I consistently get get omnidirectional 195nm (360km) range with the occasional connection up to 210nm (390km) in clear conditions.

I bought this to replace a discone that I use for voice scanning. This thing is amazing! The discone might pick up 5 planes max but this bad boy with a bandpass filter for 1090 made my setup pull in planes from about 200 miles away and now I pick up 15-40 planes at any given time.
